What Are Porcelain Crowns?

Individual teeth that have been affected by significant damage or decay can generally be restored using a dental crown. Our dentists use advanced technology to provide same-day crowns to patients in Washington, D.C. Porcelain crowns cover the visible part of teeth, giving them a more natural cosmetic appearance. These kinds of restorations are designed to look like your other teeth and may be placed to fix teeth that are fractured, decayed, oddly shaped, or damaged in some sort of way. Porcelain crowns could also be merged into a unit to form a dental bridge or attached to dental implants to replace a missing tooth. Schedule a consultation at Washington Elite Dentistry to discover if you're a candidate for a same-day crown.

What Is the Porcelain Crown Process?

Getting a porcelain crown at our Washington, D.C. office only takes one visit instead of the usual two. To start, our team will take digital impressions of your mouth with intraoral cameras, and our state-of-the-art machine will then use those images to create your custom crown. Next, one of our highly trained dental practitioners will numb your mouth and can incorporate other sedation dentistry services to boost your comfort if you desire. Once the damaged portion is cleared away, we can place the new dental crown on your tooth and make whatever necessary adjustments to ensure it fits securely and comfortably.

Dr. Berman is wonderful. Switched to this practice after a few years at a do-nothing dentist and expected some work would be needed. A detailed plan of care was laid in the first visit and was done seamlessly and perfectly over just three months. Dr. Berman and the staff made the whole experience enjoyable and painless. I'm very happy with where I am from where I was before
